Exceeding Expectations for Growth – Teicher Patterson at Enfield Middle School

Teicher Patterson is a Cohort 2 Graduate of the Northeast Leadership Academy at NCSU. He became principal at Enfield Middle School, now Enfield Middle STEAM Academy, in 2014.  At the end of the school year in 2015, students at Enfield Middle completed their statewide tests. Enfield Middle School’s Performance Composite Grade Level Proficient grew 3.7 percentage points after Mr. Patterson’s first year as principal. They exceeded growth. The following school year, 2015-2016, the percentage of students proficient grew another 3.1 points.

Students at Enfield STEAM Academy worked hard again during the 2016-2017 school year, which was Mr. Patterson’s third year in the principal position. On August 21st, 2017, Mr. Patterson was awarded a trophy recognizing that his school had the highest growth – a total of 9.3 points! Teicher said, “Today I was presented with the trophy for having the highest growth this school year. Our school grew by 9.3 points. Look at God working for Enfield Middle STEAM Academy”. Congratulations to Mr. Teicher Patterson and Enfield Middle STEAM Academy.
