DPLA & NCLA Visit Ron Clark Academy
DPLA and NCLA Fellows traveled to The Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, GA on March 23rd, 2017.
Fellows said they learned to…
- bring magic into the school to create a sense of excitement around
learning, - set expectations for students and parents before the first day of school,
- start building a culture for students with an equal balance between structure, discipline, respect, enthusiasm, passion, and creativity,
- think of providing an experience, not just a curriculum, and
- set high expectations of ALL students .
One Fellow said “As a school leader, I am fueled to expect teachers to teach with passion” after attending the Ron Clark Academy.
