Graduates are empowered with leadership strategies that improve student performance in dynamic and interactive environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Program Description<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ed.D. in Educational Leadership at North Carolina State University leads to district\/superintendent licensure and is intended to prepare district-level school leaders who can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide sound instructional leadership at all levels<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use qualitative and quantitative data as a basis for school improvement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effectively administer fiscal, curricular, and personnel resources<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exhibit strong written and oral communications skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate effectively in educational politics, policy analysis, and development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Critically and strategically analyze school problems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate effective leadership at the school and district level<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Administer schools in a legally and ethically defensible manner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate excellence in administration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The EdD in Educational Leadership requires core courses in educational leadership, research methods courses, an internship, and a dissertation. Students must be officially admitted to the Ed.D. program to enroll in doctoral classes.
