Kendrick Alston, Cohort II Graduate, Receives Scholarship

Kendrick Alston graduated from NELA’s second cohort in May 2013. Kendrick is serving as Principal of Williford Elementary School in the Nash/Rocky Mount Public School System while simultaneously pursing a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership at NC State University. Recently, he was awarded the Augustus M. Witherspoon Graduate Scholarship through the Black Alumni Society for the 2017-2018 academic year. This scholarship recognized Kendrick’s outstanding scholarship, research, and service.  It will help to provide financial support for his doctoral studies. Congratulations to Kendrick from NC State’s Principal Preparation programs!
